Project: Active protection of endangered species of Charadriiformes on the Vistula River islands: implementation of selected protection tasks in the area of SPA Dolina Środowej Wisły PLB140004.
The project entitled: “Active protection of endangered species of Charadriiformes on the Vistula River islands: implementation of selected protection tasks in the area of SPA Dolina Środowej Wisły PLB140004.” is coordinated by a team of four employees of the Institute of Biological Sciences and the Center for Ecology and Eco-philosophy at the Faculty of Christian Philosophy of CSWU in Warsaw: Dariusz Bukaciński PhD (Project Manager), Monika Bukacińska PhD (Deputy Project Manager), Arkadiusz Buczyński, MS (Logistics Coordinator) and Marek Sawicki (Deputy Logistics Coordinator). Dariusz Bukaciński
Dariusz Bukaciński PhD

An expert in the field of ecology, behaviour and protection of birds. For 35 years he has been directing the research of gulls and terns on islands in the middle section of the Vistula River. Over the last 15 years, he has been a scientific expert and coordinator in several projects of active protection of endangered species of birds on the islands of the middle Vistula. Author and co-author of over 60 peer-reviewed publications.

Monika Bukacińska
Monika Bukacińska PhD

An expert in the field of ecology, behavior and protection of birds. For 35 years he has been working in a team studying gulls and terns on islands in the middle section of the Vistula River. For 15 years, she has been participating in projects of active protection of endangered species of birds on the islands of the middle Vistula (she was the coordinator of one project). Co-author of over 60 peer-reviewed publications.

Arkadiusz Buczyński
Arkadiusz Buczyński MSc

My scientific interests are related to the area of the Middle Vistula. I participate in scientific research on the breeding ecology of the common gull. I also take part in the active protection of gulls and terns in this area. In the laboratory, I work on the genetic material collected in the field.
